JOB DESCRIPTION

A mobile X-Ray technician provides services at diverse locations, including patient homes and clinics, using portable equipment. Key duties include patient preparation and care, operating and maintaining ultrasound machines, capturing high-quality diagnostic images, and documenting results for radiologists. Mobile technicians require strong technical skills, patient communication abilities, and the flexibility to travel to different sites and work various shifts

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Perform diagnostic radiologic exams as ordered by orthopedic providers, including extremity, spine, and joint imaging
• Ensure proper positioning and technique to obtain high-quality images with minimal radiation exposure
• Verify physician orders and patient identification in accordance with compliance guidelines
• Maintain accurate imaging records and assist with uploading images into EMR/PACS
• Prepare and assist patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort
• Maintain and calibrate X-ray equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance
• Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols
• Support clinical team with occasional back-office duties as needed (e.g., rooming patients, assisting with casting/splinting)
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and front office staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain continuing education and current certifications as required
