Job Overview:
As the Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the financial health of the healthcare organization. This position is based in Wayne, NJ and requires 100% on-site presence. This is a temporary position with the potential for long-term employment based on performance.
Responsibilities :
· Working knowledge of medical billing and claims processes, organizing payments, handling denied claims and follow-ups, speaking with patients about their accounts and responding to insurance company inquiries.
· Dispute/Appeal denied claims after processing.
· Read and interpret Insurance Explanation of Benefits for appeals and patient balance/statement inquiries.
· Follow-up on previously submitted disputes/appeals
· insurance verifications
· Document insurance benefits, co-payments, deductibles, and self-pay portions in the account to allow for collections due.
Qualifications :
· 1-2 years of medical billing experience required
