Job Description

We are a small company in the aerospace industry located in Camarillo, CA . Developing and producing wiring testing system for qualifying the interconnection integrity of aerospace products, military systems. This is a 100% on-site job. US citizen only .

Responsibilities

• Design wire harness testing systems per customer specifications.
• Create 3D models with appropriate design intent and provide accurate, detailed 2D drawings on mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks .
• Create electrical schematics, interconnect diagrams, and wire harnesses using Draftsight .
• Knowledge of test equipment and tool design.
• Understand various manufacturing process in order to create cost effective functional parts.
• Understand basic principals of GD&T and be able to apply them to drawings for manufacturing.
• Responsible for BOM creation and sourcing customer specified components.
• Use 3D printing software for prototyping new designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1 year of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies.
• 1 year of experience using computer-aided design tools such as SolidWorks and Draftsight .
• Analytical skills for problem-solving.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for data security.
• Highly organized and able to plan ahead in complex tasks. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
