Description

The post office clerk duties include cashier, receiving, and sorting mail to the various post office boxes. Ensuring all mail is processed in a timely and efficient manner including maintaining accurate information.

Requirements

Essential functions

• Operate all checking equipment, count money and make change accurately
• Operate tools and equipment safely
• Perform United States Postal Office regulations and duties
• Perform general cleaning duties
• Greet and talk politely with customers
• Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing information
• Comply with supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
• Function as a team member and get along with others
• Adhere to daily work schedule
• Work weekends, any shift, holidays and overtime as needed
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned

• Basic math and computer skills
• Knowledge of point-of-sale systems
• Cash handling

Physical requirements

• Grasping, bending, twisting, squatting,
• Move, lift (minimum height of 4' on a regular basis), and carry a minimum of 50lbs
• Walk, stand, climb ladders, be on feet entire shift
• Push/pull a loaded stock cart

Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred1+ years of retail Cashier experience preferred
Age requirement Minimum age 18
Additional Navajo Speaking preferred
