Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing tools, equipment, and machinery, including forklifts, used in our assembly warehouse. This position is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and workplace safety.

• Location: Montgomery, IL 60538
• Job Type: Temp to hire
• Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
• Pay rate: $19.00/hr-$21.00/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on power tools, hand tools, and other warehouse equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair warehouse vehicles, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from team members to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance logs and repair records for all equipment.
• Ensure all repairs are performed in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist in facility maintenance such as lighting, shelving, dock doors, and other general building repairs.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.
• Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and notify management when restocking is needed.
• Identify potential safety hazards and work proactively to address them.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in maintenance or mechanical repair, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of hand and power tools, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse conditions.
