Job Overview: We are seeking a diligent and reliable Mailroom Worker to join our team. The Mailroom Worker will be responsible for handling, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other communications within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments and individuals.
• Prepare outgoing mail and packages, including weighing, labeling, and ensuring proper postage.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other deliveries.
• Operate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, scanners, and copiers.
• Ensure mailroom supplies are adequately stocked and reorder supplies as needed.
• Coordinate with external courier services for special deliveries and pickups.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as required, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining mailroom cleanliness and organization.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Respond to inquiries and provide excellent customer service to internal staff and external contacts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a mailroom or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry packages and mail items.
• Proficiency in using mailroom equipment and basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Working Conditions:

• Physical demands include lifting, carrying, and moving mail and packages.
