Job Description

Our client, a worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the 2nd and 3rd shift teams. The ideal candidate will be a team player, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently.

Job Title: Machine Operator Swing and Graveyard shifts

Location: Ferndale, WA

Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.10

What's the Job?

• Operate production machinery within standard operating procedures (SOPs), follow all safety procedures and requirements, adhere to product constructions (materials, machinery setup, machine operation), maintain a clean work area and comply with 5S.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PMs) on production machinery. Troubleshoot production machinery.
• Perform equipment change-overs. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use and during machine setups.
• Maintain and transport material supply adhering to just-in-time manufacturing principles.
• Responsible for quality control. Notify lead or supervisor if product does not meet quality specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.

What's Needed?

• A team player who works well with a diverse group of individuals and can build relationships with coworkers.
• Mechanically inclined with an aptitude to troubleshoot minor machine failures, make minor adjustments, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently.
• Comfortable wearing PPE throughout shift duration, including hearing protection.
• A clear and concise communicator in both written and oral forms.
