Our client, a leading logistics and freight forwarding organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their team. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be an essential part of the operations supporting the air import department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Jamaica, NY

Pay Range: $20

Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday to Friday

What's the Job?

• Provide high-quality customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and operational teams.
• Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations.
• Anticipate, identify, and resolve issues that could delay freight movement or release.
• Coordinate out-of-gauge, Hazmat, and ITAR shipments, ensuring all safety and regulatory standards are met.
• Assist with account implementation, including developing SOPs with customers, operations, and sales teams.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with freight forwarding or logistics operations.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of air export regulations, Schedule B tariff classification, and international trade banking requirements.
• Basic math skills for conversions and currency evaluations, with some experience in checking ETA, contacting airlines, and working with CFS.
