Job Description
We do lighting for cruise ships and our business is all over the world. Handling the logistic part of it is both exciting and diverse as we do both domestic and international shipping. Big part is making sure material arrives on time and is correct - verifying the order confirmations from factories. Some packing is involved with the local shipments - otherwise it is all shipped direct from factories to clients. Invoicing, packing slips, sales orders and credit notes are all done in quickbooks. This is not a requirement software to know but basic computer skills in regular office as outlook, excel and word is needed.
This is a smaller operation and when things are busy we all have to be flexible and have to be able to wear many hats to complete the jobs. We work together and help where it is needed. This makes the day to day job exciting and interesting - learning something new is a great thing!
If you survive through the training and are able to get into the groove of working in this kind of environment - you will be lucky - cause you have found an additional family. That is what we are. Of my 4 employees, 1 has worked 24 years, 1 has 20 years, 1 has 10 years and the last one has 1 year. This record speaks for itself.
