Sunset House is a newly established, completely remodeled, all female adult foster home located in a quaint neighborhood in Medford, OR. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and respectful environment for aging and disabled adults that honors the dignity, diversity, and individuality of each resident. We are committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care that meets the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents, enriching their lives and fostering a sense of community. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Live-In Caregiver to join our team and contribute to the foundational culture and success of our home.
Position Overview
The Live-In Caregiver will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of care within our home. This position involves the execution of daily care and ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our residents. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a dynamic care team from the ground up, influencing the development and growth of our home.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily care of residents, including personal care, medication management, and activity planning.
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and care team.
Maintain care standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ability to decipher and comprehend resident care plans, including assessments, evaluations, and updates to meet changing needs.
Serve as a point of contact for residents' families, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Act as a liaison between residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
Qualifications
Two or more verifiable years of experience providing direct care , prior experience in an adult foster care setting preferred.
Knowledge of the regulations and standards governing adult foster care.
Excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care to adults with varying needs.
Proficiency in English.
Attended required State orientation and/or education
Approved background check.
Ability to live on-site within the foster home.
