Job purpose Alpine Air is currently seeking a
part-time Ramp Agent to operate in and around the Denver International Airport. The Ramp Agent will be responsible for ground servicing of the aircraft, including loading and unloading of baggage and cargo and fueling the aircraft. Work is performed outside, in all weather conditions.
Duties and responsibilities The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
- Observing safety and FAA regulations
- Transferring cargo from vehicles to cargo planes
- De-icing the aircraft and GPU starting the aircraft
- Providing shuttle service for crew and assist with baggage
- Practicing safe lifting methods
- Arranging general maintenance of company vehicle
Qualifications Qualifications include:
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds to shoulder height
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Be available for flexible schedule depending on aircraft arrivals and departures and cargo load
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Required to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Work for this position may be performed outside when needed, regardless of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This position is a Part-Time position. Paid Time Off, eight (8) paid holidays per year, and 401k with generous employer match are available immediately upon employment.
