Driver shall provide driver services to include the operation of forklifts and light vehicles, and transportation of components throughout Fleet Readiness Center South East Jacksonville on a daily basis, to include weekends. Duties shall include, but are not limited to:
Use of light/heavy vehicles, to include trucks or vans used primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages.
Drivers shall load and unload vehicles and/or assist other personnel in loading and unloading vehicles, as required. Loading or unloading vehicles on various levels other than ground level may be required.
Drivers shall expedite the processing of components and material according to schedules and priorities.
Drivers shall review production work orders, call boards or pick up schedules to identify priorities and component/material quantities, and then move components/materials to specified production areas.
Required Experience, Training & Certifications:
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and comply with licensing requirement of the State and local motor vehicle laws.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
History of working in a well-structured industrial environment, a working knowledge of lean six sigma and ISO 9000 principles is desirable.
