Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Licensed Optician role located in Canandaigua, Geneva and Macedon, NY. The responsibilities include assisting patients with selecting and fitting eyewear, interpreting prescriptions, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of optical products. The Licensed Optician will work closely with the optometry team to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction, educate patients on proper eyewear care, and maintain inventory of optical products and supplies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Optics principles for interpreting prescriptions and providing appropriate eyewear solutions.
• Experience providing exceptional Customer Service and ensuring Customer Satisfaction to enhance the patient experience.
• Understanding of Eye Exams and their relevance to selecting and fitting optical products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with patients and team members effectively.
• Current licensing or certification as an optician, as required by the state of New York.
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in retail optical settings or healthcare environments is a plus.
