Responsibilities The Lactation Consultant is responsible for coordinating patient care and educational activities related to lactation for staff and breastfeeding mothers in inpatient or outpatient settings. The individual is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide overall coordination, planning, and management of lactation services to staff/physicians. Qualifications Job Requirements: Completion of Associate Degree, Bachelors of Science, or Masters of Science in Nursing Current Texas RN License BLS (Basic Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) IBCLC (International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants) Preferred Job Requirements: Five (5) years’ experience in Maternal Child Nursing
