We are seeking a motivated Junior Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering frontend applications that are used in marketing, sales, and general business operations.

This is a 100% on-site position in Birmingham, AL and is only available to US citizens or current green card holders.

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications.
• Developing and maintaining sites built with WordPress.
• Designing mockups independently or in collaboration with a graphic designer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Test, debug, and optimize front-end applications.
• Create documentation for application features and processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, web development, management information systems, or a related field.
• Work or internship experience in software development or a portfolio of impressive software development projects.
• Ability to quickly learn and utilize new skills, programming languages, frameworks, and platforms.
• Ability to create responsive web applications that provide a good user experience across devices and browsers.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Proficiency with HTML and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, Svelte, and/or Vue.
• Experience creating user-friendly and visually appealing web applications.
• Writing tests for software applications (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing).
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Familiarity with common design patterns and programming paradigms.
• Proven ability to build and deliver software applications.
• Ability to create and implement designs that adhere to WCAG, web accessibility guidelines, and general best practices.
• Strong understanding of secure coding and application deployment practices.
• Ability to communicate with colleagues clearly and effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Next.js or other server-rendered frameworks.
• Proficiency with one or more backend languages or frameworks.
• Familiarity with any other CMS and front-end frameworks.
• Proficiency with PHP.
• Proficiency with SQL and database management.
