Level II release manager
As a Release Manager 2, you will collaborate with Domain data engineering teams and other EDL-consuming IT and business teams to define and develop detailed plans for releases. You will coordinate the day-to-day activities of a global support organization acting as a scrum master for the DevOps and Product Services teams. In doing so, you will coordinate detailed interactions between teams to remove blockers for Data and DevOps Engineers. You will conduct reviews of plans and coordinate post-release health checks of new data pipeline components. You are encouraged to identify opportunities to improve current processes, collaborating with various teams and management to streamline or automate manual tasks. You will work with teams to identify and document issues and risks, recommend solutions, and work with senior management to implement solutions.
Required:
• Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
• Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
• 5+ years of related experience in a fast-paced IT environment (software development/data, release management, project management, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience working in an IT data engineering environment, release management, or IT support
• Highly organized, detail orientation is a must
• Must have proven experience in ITSM change management in ServiceNow or similar system
• Must have proven experience assessing, modifying, optimizing processes, and collaborating with others to implement those changes
• Must have displayed leadership and team-centric skills, strong solution orientation, and communication
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Preferred:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
• Previous Release Management or Scrum Master experience
• Proficient with software development lifecycles and methodologies, including waterfall and agile
• Proficient with release and support management including application release and infrastructure maintenance practices
• Good knowledge of quality metrics and tracking
• Good knowledge of resource management and tracking
• Experience in Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow
• Experience in leading application release and infrastructure maintenance process improvements such as deployment automation
• Familiarity or experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery or related DevOps experience of release automation
• Experience working in a SAFe Agile framework.
