Job Title: IT Manager Restaurant Systems

Job Summary:
The Restaurant Systems Manager is responsible for planning and executing all corporate and franchisee restaurant system solutions for Cici’s Pizza and JMC Restaurant Distribution. This role will work closely with IT, Marketing and Operations department to form a strong cross functional partnerships leading all restaurant systems initiatives (Jira service desk for restaurant support, network eco system with Cisco Meraki firewalls, Cisco Meraki and Dell switches, Aruba access points wi-fi, Dell R700 with VMware ESXI servers and Mako systems restaurant network), email services and collaboration via MS 365 Cloud services, application infrastructure within Azure Cloud and Citrix file share, phone systems network, as well as video security. Engaging in a strategic cross training/education and partnership with peers on the solutions side (POS, OLO, Loyalty program, Party program, GSS program, Digital Menu Board system and Game Card Systems).
Will manage vendor relationships, work cross functionally on coordination and implementation of operational systems, as well as provide guidance and support to our franchise owner/operators. Strong leadership, accountability and ownership qualities must be displayed with the mindset for taking initiative and leading/directing project management efforts as required.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of restaurant/hospitality operations environment, associated technology and solutions that drive brand engagement, drive cost efficiencies and profitability within compliant and fully supported eco system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team up with IT executive leadership and solutions peer on proposing, managing and standardizing restaurant infrastructure eco system, addressing current and new business technologies, applications, integrations and processes.
- Identify and evaluate vendors to understand whether products and solutions will meet business needs as well as proper technical requirements.
- Creates and implements a high performance, customer focused team that supports and strengthens IT project and service delivery.
- Participate in evaluation of established technologies and assessments of how to streamline and drive efficiencies, invest in new platforms to support innovative business approaches and evaluate/retire legacy platforms as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations through partnerships with his/her peers and IT department (e.g., PCI DSS) and data protection standards in all aspects of system operations and management.
- Design and implement best practices to achieve stated business objectives, advise on risk assumptions and provide alternatives to achieve desired end results.
- Partner with Security team to ensure technology policies, processes and cybersecurity measures are met ensuring effective and consistent compliance as well as safeguard assets and information.
- Develop, communicate and leads implementation of the information systems (restaurant eco system) strategic plan and vision at all levels of the organization, with a focus on data optimization and security management.
- Lead and coordinate all efforts and tasks assigned to the IT team across business processes surrounding new restaurant openings, transfers, relocations, re-openings and closures.
- Lead all development enhancements and implementation aspects of the restaurant systems.
- Provide both functional and technical requirements on all associated system changes/enhancements.
- Actively work with IT leadership to innovate and evaluate new technology using latest tools such as AI, integration and automation to identify and drive sales, cut costs and improve overall customer experience.
- Establish and maintain technological key performance indicators to manage IT systems and services.
- Meet organizational quarterly objectives utilizing the EOS methodology by leading IT and other cross functional departments to successful and timely project completions, driving on-time and on-budget deliverables.
- Plans and executes product strategy and roadmap of restaurant solutions in collaboration with IT executive leadership.
- Ensure continuous delivery of technology services through oversight of service level agreements with all vendors to ensure successful monitoring and resolution of technology systems with all end users.
- Serve as a Senior IT Sponsor with customers on issues, questions and concerns regarding the areas within the information systems.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in senior role leading restaurant/hospitality system implementations.
- 2 years’ experience driving initiatives using the latest AI technology.
- 3 years’ experience with restaurant networks, including firewall, switch and ISP remediations.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading complex system implementations and upgrades.
- Experience managing key 3rd party technological strategic partnerships.
- Experience managing offshore development and support.
- Implementation experience on-premises systems to Cloud infrastructure and Cloud Security.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based networks.
- Strong analytical skills along with demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
- Proven commitment to talent development and creating high engagement of IT team, cultivating high performers, attracting new talent, setting/raising standards for performance and issues effectively
- Manager Restaurant Systems may manage employees of the IT department and would be responsible for the performance management and hiring of these employees consulting with the IT executive leadership.
- Extensive experience leading various IT teams relative to implementations, support, new technology discovery and vendor management.
- Assess, develop, and mentor team members. Strong performer as an individual contributor, as well as a team member.
Good to Have:
- MS Fabric, MS Data Factory, Azure Pipelines, Azure Blob, Snowflake and Databricks certification.
- Experience with DMB technical and process management understanding.
- Experience in JIRA and Confluence.
- Restaurant/hospitality systems environment with process operations knowledge and experience.
