Cyber Security Engineer to contribute to our IT Security & Compliance team in
LaVergne, TN , just outside the Nashville area. This position is a hybrid work environment where the candidate must be able to come onsite.
The Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring applications, networks, and software systems/mobile applications are planned, designed, developed, and implemented. This person also ensures protection from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction according to the appropriate security standards and practices.

Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or directly related year for year experience.
- 3 years engineering experience in either networks or systems (windows or linux).
- 2 years' experience in Information Security
Key Responsibilities: - Analyzes business impact and exposure based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks and designs security solutions.
- Researches security trends and recommends remediation plans in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of a system breach in a complex multi-platform environment.
- Understands business IT needs and requirements and emerging technologies and has the ability to relate them to the company and it's business objectives.
- Performs security assessments and recommends mitigation strategies or improvements based on security best practices
- Conducts vulnerability assessments and monitors systems, networks, and databases for possible security breaches and recommends improvements.
- Owns the design and engineering of key security tools, including the automation of the execution of tasks and processes through scripting and programming.
- Develops processes such that security analysts and operations can perform ongoing delegated duties
- Respond to alerts from information security tools. Report, investigate and resolve security incidents.
- Recommend and implement changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access.
- Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in unauthorized access of data in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of system breach.
- Analyzes logs and reports then responds in line with established procedures
- Works closely with other teams to embed security, logging, auditing, and support needs during the entire software development lifecycle.
