Your work will directly shape how thousands of associates learn, perform, and thrive on the sales floor, in our warehouses, and across the organization.
You’ll bring learning to life through storytelling, design, and innovation, helping every associate feel confident and capable in their role.
What You’ll Do
· Design and Develop Learning Experiences: Build engaging, associate-centered content for instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning programs that drive understanding and behavior change.
· Translate Business Needs into Learning Solutions: Collaborate with subject matter experts and leaders to identify performance gaps and design targeted interventions that deliver measurable results.
· Apply Learning Science and Design Models : Use frameworks such as ADDIE and SAM to design efficient, scalable, and effective learning programs.
· Build Reinforcement and Retention Tools: Develop microlearning, job aids, and performance support materials using tools such as Axonify, Storyline, and Vyond.
· Leverage Emerging Technology: Experiment with AI-assisted design, adaptive learning, and visual storytelling to enhance learner engagement and efficiency.
· Maintain Brand and Instructional Consistency : Ensure all deliverables reflect Floor & Decor’s design standards, tone, and commitment to associate growth.
· Manage Projects Independently: Own multiple concurrent projects, balancing timelines, stakeholder input, and business priorities.
What You’ll Bring
· Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field or equivalent experience.
· 5+ years of experience in instructional design, content development, or learning experience design.
· Proven ability to create learning content that blends clarity, creativity, and purpose.
· Proficiency in authoring and design tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Axonify, and Vyond.
· Strong understanding of adult learning theory, microlearning strategy, and performance-based design.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
· Curiosity for emerging tools and learning technologies especially AI and adaptive learning platforms.
