Industrial Electrician - Onsite

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at GM Performance Power Units LLC in Concord, NC. This role is crucial in supporting our facility operations and maintaining electrical systems for our F1 power unit manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Work with power distribution, lighting, equipment connections, switch gear, and circuit breakers
• Ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) and safety standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Collaborate with the facilities team on new installations and upgrades
• Assist in the design and implementation of electrical systems for new and existing facilities
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
• Work with variable frequency drives (VFDs) extensively

Qualifications:

• Unlimited Electrical License required
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems up to 600V, with experience in 480V systems
• Familiarity with high current applications and heavy switch gear
• Strong understanding of VFDs and their applications
• Experience with industrial control systems and PLCs
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 4160V systems
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS)
• Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of energy management and efficiency practices
