We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is an on-site position that offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging immigration cases, providing comprehensive legal advice and representation to a diverse clientele. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, employment-based applications, asylum cases, removal defense, and appeals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of U.S. immigration law, with a focus on permanent residence applications, specifically EB-5 and family based cases.
- Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications, including family-based petitions, employment-based applications, asylum applications, and removal defense cases
- Represent clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
- Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, briefs, motions, and appeals
- Stay updated on changes in immigration law and policy, and advise clients accordingly
- Maintain client files and case management system, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the highest quality of legal services
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to a U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Associate Attorney, with a focus on immigration law
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedure, including family-based petitions, employment-based applications, asylum law, removal defense, and appeals
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong advocacy skills, with experience representing clients before USCIS, EOIR, and BIA
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus, but not required.
