About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of US Customs Broker to lead its cross-border logistics operations with a focus on customs brokerage. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all customs clearance processes, ensuring strict compliance with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, and maintaining a strong, professional relationship with regulatory bodies. This role involves managing the financial health of the business unit, developing and leading compliance teams, defining operational controls, and supporting sales efforts. The Head of US Customs Broker will also be tasked with enhancing service quality, engaging with industry stakeholders, conducting HTS classification, and implementing cost-reduction strategies through trade agreements. Applicants for this position must be a licensed customs broker with extensive experience in US customs procedures, fluent in both English and Spanish, and possess a high level of both IQ and emotional intelligence. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and a proactive, empathetic approach to work. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes experience across various industries and a deep understanding of American corporate environments. Proficiency in automated processing systems and customs software, as well as a strict adherence to customs compliance, are essential. The Head of US Customs Broker will be expected to be highly organized, capable of leading a compliance team, and adept at managing bonded carrier transactions.
