Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Hadoop Developer with Teradata for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX(Hybrid) . You will develop complex requirements, collaborate closely with business partners to define system applications and ensure the full development lifecycle is followed while maintaining application functionality and implementing platform upgrades.
Rate Range: $65/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Hadoop Developer with Teradata job responsibilities include:
Developing complex requirements and enhancing, modifying, or maintaining applications within Financial Crimes technology to meet business goals.
Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs, as well as supporting application maintenance.
Collaborating with business partners to define requirements for system applications and contribute to story refinement.
Estimating work required to realize requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle and performing proof of concept to mitigate risk.
Setting up and automating continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Managing technical aspects of applications, including Change Management, Maintenance, Platform Upgrades, and handling changes from interfacing applications.
Analyzing data sourcing, modeling, and building innovative provisioning models to support large-scale financial crimes data initiatives.
Promoting best practices and governance within the Data Analysts and Developers team.
Develop plans with business partners to sustain change and ensuring implementation of future-state approaches.
Ensuring Agile practices are followed, and all Enterprise Change Standards are met.
Communicating effectively with managers, peers, and business partners regarding deliverables and timelines.
Required Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software development, with a focus on Hadoop and Teradata ecosystems.
Strong expertise in Teradata, Hadoop ecosystem components (HIVE, HDFS, SPARK), and data modeling using tools like Erwin or Power Designer.
Experience with Bigtable design, HBASE, and proficiency in PySpark (2.4 or higher), along with a strong knowledge of SQL and data analysis.
