Global Trait Business Asset Manager - Research Triangle Park, NC We are looking for a Global Trait Business Asset Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team based in Research Triangle Park, NC. As a Global Trait Business Asset Manager, you will lead the planning and business implementation of BASF Traits in specific crops to maximize value extraction, either through BASF-branded seed products or third-party seed licensing activities.You will work with internal stakeholders on industry benchmarking, long-range planning, and trait strategy development. Your role includes trait valuation, business case creation, brand management, and life cycle oversight. You will lead Asset Teams, launch new traits, and expand the portfolio into new countries. Externally, you'll manage global Trait Business activities, negotiate licenses, and ensure compliance with brand stewardship requirements. Collaborating with a broad range of functions, including Strategy, Product Development, Portfolio Management, Legal, Stewardship, and Regulatory, to ensure success in this position. Working closely with Regional Strategic Marketing colleagues to align and coordinate activities globally. Linking the value proposition of BASF traits to customer needs and designing, implementing, and operating global trait business models. Enjoying the challenge of building successful solutions in negotiations with third-party licensees. Paying attention to details and embracing the challenge of working across functions to create order and excellence in a complex business environment. If you... Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a Business field; MBA preferred. Possess 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, with 3+ years of progressive marketing experience. Demonstrate competency in strategic and analytical thinking. Have experience with contract basics and the legal framework for licensing preferred. Maintain a working knowledge of the seed business, breeding, and trait commercialization preferred. Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation, and diplomacy skills; fluency in English required. Are willing and able to travel one-third of the time, both domestically and internationally. Are looking for a hybrid role, this position requires 3 days onsite at our RTP, NC location and 2 days remote.
