As a Global Trait Business Asset Manager, you will lead the planning and business implementation of BASF Traits in specific crops to maximize value extraction, either through BASF-branded seed products or third-party seed licensing activities.You will work with internal stakeholders on industry benchmarking, long-range planning, and trait strategy development. Your role includes trait valuation, business case creation, brand management, and life cycle oversight. You will lead Asset Teams, launch new traits, and expand the portfolio into new countries. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a Business field; MBA preferred. Possess 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, with 3+ years of progressive marketing experience. Demonstrate competency in strategic and analytical thinking. Have experience with contract basics and the legal framework for licensing preferred. Maintain a working knowledge of the seed business, breeding, and trait commercialization preferred. Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation, and diplomacy skills; fluency in English required. Are willing and able to travel one-third of the time, both domestically and internationally.
