Job Summary

The Hayes Company is seeking a qualified Installer to assist in our Mirror and Shower Door division.

Pay

Average $50,000 - $65,000 per year

The Hayes Company pays Glass Installers via a piece rate or per unit system.

You will also have an hourly rate to fall back on for dry runs or small jobs at $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. Please inquire for details on the piece rate pay.

Experience

Required

  • Must have 5+ years experience working in Interior Glass (Mirrors, Shower Doors)

Responsibilities

  • Manually moving and loading mirrors and glass from the shop to the truck.
  • Safely securing glass to the truck without damage to vehicle or inventory.
  • Able to safely drive vehicle alone or with crew member to job site.
  • Able to follow directions to new subdivisions
  • Installing Interior Glass and Bath Accessories in houses, apartments and hotels including:
  • Mirrors
  • Flat Glass installation including Cabinet, Stairway and Interior Transoms
  • Towel Bars, Paper Holders, Robe Hooks, Towel Rings, Grab Bars
  • Shower Doors and Heavy Glass Frameless Shower Doors * Operating small tools as needed for installation including but not limited to tape measure, chop saw, hammer drill, impact driver, and ladder
  • Run Quality Control after installation by cleaning up the glass and products and visually inspecting for damage or issues.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Must have transportation to and from work.
  • Must have a driver's license
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects continually throughout the day
  • Detail oriented and cautious. Glass can be very dangerous for someone who is careless.
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Must be able to work independently or with a team member.
  • Basic math skills. Able to read a tape measure and perform basic calculations with fractions.

Required

  • High School or equivalent required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
