General Production Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and capable General Production Worker to join our team. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate within a dynamic warehouse environment. The typical schedule will be 7:00AM - 3:30PM Monday - Saturday.

Responsibilities:

• Lift, carry, and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs or more.
• Use a computer for data entry and tracking purposes.
• Operate and load hand trucks and pallet jacks for transporting materials.
• Read location labels and use a step ladder as needed.
• Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
• Utilize an RF scanner and the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Capability to bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Competence in using computers for data entry.

Work Environment:

The role involves working among numerous cardboard boxes filled with paperwork. Certain areas of the warehouse might be dusty. The environment is clean with five different levels, and has long dark rows that light up. The atmosphere is quiet, allowing for music through speakers. The work schedule is Monday through Saturday, with Saturday having lower expectations. Enjoy two 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Hanover Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
