General Production Worker

We are seeking dedicated general production workers to join our team. This role involves standing or sitting at a workstation, packing bags coming off the machines, packing boxes, stacking boxes on skids, and lifting up to 35 pounds. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Stand or sit at the end of a production line to inspect and pack plastic bags into boxes.
• Perform visual inspections on products as they come off the machine.
• Close and tape boxes shut, ensuring they weigh between 30-35 pounds.
• Stack boxes on pallets and move them as necessary.
• Read and write English, and read a ruler accurately for required assessments.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read a ruler accurately.
• Ability to stand on feet for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months to a year of prior manufacturing experience.
• Machine Operating experience is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment alongside a team of dedicated professionals. Shifts are available in various time slots, with flexible orientation sessions held on Mondays. Employees are required to wear long pants and hair nets, and no steel-toed shoes are necessary. Enjoy a team-oriented atmosphere with provided uniforms, while adhering to safety guidelines such as no nail polish or fake nails. Water is allowed at workstations, but headphones are not permitted in the production area.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crystal Lake, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
