GI Program Director – Greater Phoenix Area

• Hospital employed practice is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to serve as fellowship Program Director.
• Position is 75% clinical and 25% academic.
• Competitive base salary offered commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Practice in a 571-bed academic Level 1 Trauma Center and attached clinics with support from Hepatology, Liver transplant, Advanced Endoscopy Services, General Surgery, all Surgical Subspecialties, Pathology, and Radiology.
• APP support in clinic.
• Fellowship is a 3-year, 6 fellow ACGME accredited program.
• Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain ongoing certification and compliance with ACGME requirements.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education, develop and review program curricula, and monitor fellow supervision at all participating sites.
  • Work with other departments and clinical sites to develop and maintain appropriate clinical and educational rotations for the fellows and residents.
  • Regularly assess and promote fellow well-being while fostering an environment in which diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the forefront of fellows’ clinical and academic experiences.
  • Develop opportunities for bidirectional communication with fellows and faculty.
  • Oversee and facilitate faculty and fellow evaluations and performance management with feedback.
