FTZ Administration, Operations, and Compliance Review Specialist

About the Role

FTZ World Services LLC, a division of Expeditors International of Washington Inc., is seeking a knowledgeable individual to oversee daily FTZ transactions and provide administration and compliance support. The company offers FTZ-specific training on operations and manufacturing procedures. Candidates should have experience with importing, exporting, in-bond transactions, and CBP and FTZ regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review or prepare FTZ admissions (e-214).
• Review or prepare withdrawals for exportation, IT (CBP Forms 7512), and consumption with designated Customs Broker.
• Handle withdrawals for bonded warehouses and zone-to-zone transfers.
• Manage manipulations, destructions, and temporary removals (CBP Form 216).
• Ensure submission and accuracy of all FTZ forms and reports.
• Maintain proper record keeping for FTZ management.
• Operate the FTZ inventory control system.
• Coordinate with Customs and Border Protection and other logistics providers.
• Conduct audits, process data, and ensure data accuracy.
• Monitor FTZ operations daily and reconcile inventory records.
• Keep updated on legislation impacting FTZ operations.
• Prepare annual FTZ reports and support ongoing compliance projects.
• Provide operational support to clients and internal teams.
• Use personal vehicle for client or CBP visits if necessary.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of FTZ and import experience, particularly in FTZ manufacturing operations.
• Experience creating in-bond forms (7512), understanding of HTSUS merchandise classification, and import transactions.
• Knowledge of logistics activities including import procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Foreign-Trade Zone operations.
• Experience working for a Customs Broker.
• Experience dealing directly with US Customs and Border Protection.
• Knowledge of import/export compliance.
