Hours - 11:00am-7:30pm

Summary:

This position is responsible for safely operating all types of powered warehouse forklifts to perform slotting (putting away), selecting (picking), or transferring of products throughout the entire warehouse by operating a platform (cherry picker) selection forklift, a stand-up reach (extension) forklift, or a counterbalance (freight dock) forklift while using voice technology to perform all job assignments.

Primary Duties :

• Make sure proper safety equipment and ergonomics are used to safely perform all job functions
• Utilize platform selection lift for selecting and putting away product in upper-level hand stack locations
• Utilize the counterbalance lift to transfer pallets, including loading/unloading trailers/trucks
• Utilize a stand-up reach forklift for selecting/putting away pallets in double deep bin locations
• Perform physical put-away of product into location or selection of product from location while validating that the correct product is being updated in the inventory system using handheld scanner and/or voice validation technology
• Support all functions of inventory integrity including cycle counting
• Maintain productive pace while working in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow all safety guidelines and training requirements
• Clean and organize the work area department
• Report damaged goods and shortages
• Become certified on the following types of forklifts:
  • Counter-balance lift: for loading and unloading trailers
  • Reach truck lift: for selecting/putting away pallets in double deep bin locations
  • Platform selection lift: for selecting and putting away product in upper-level hand stack locations

Qualifications :

• Ability to be on your feet for entire shift
• Must be comfortable with heights
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds regularly)
• Adaptable and flexible to organizational workflow needs
• Display reliable attendance
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Understand and respond to written and verbal instructions
• Ability to understand and follow basic commands given by Warehouse Execution System
• Ability to obtain forklift certifications
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Previous warehouse/order fulfillment experience a plus
