Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Eurofins-US Food Assurance Training and Consulting Consultant is to provide training and consulting services to new and existing clients- both onsite and virtually – related to food safety including consideration of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Additionally, the Consultant will provide technical support to the Eurofins-US Food Assurance Training and Consulting business related to all elements of the client service cycle. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support client efforts to develop and deploy sustainable food safety management systems with consistent and audit-defensible practices that can be affirmed though certification programs whether GFSI or other standards.
• Provide consulting services to clients in key subject matter elements comprising requirements and standards for programs including:
  • BRCGS
  • FSSC22000
  • GRMA
  • SSCI
  • SQF
  • FSVP
  • HACCP/Food Safety Plans
  • PCQI
• Develop excellent relationships with assigned clients to fully understand the client’s objectives and needs – becoming a reliable resource to support continuous improvement of their food safety and quality systems and the key go-to when issues arise.
• Present training programs on key food safety topics including Preventative Controls (PCQI), HACCP, and other topics as qualified.
• Support the development of the project parameters/scope for new opportunities through engagement with potential clients.
• Support the development of training materials; project materials and service extensions.
• Support all elements of the service cycle including technical support to sales; scheduling and execution support; and performance relative to key operational KPIs.
• Participate in management discussions on business strategy; service development and key operational considerations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food related or bioscience discipline; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety /quality assurance
• Knowledge of GFSI schemes
• Regulatory FDA; Dietary Supplement; Pet Food; Nutritional Labelling; Sanitation knowledge
• Bi-lingual Spanish / English preferred
• HACCP Training Certificate
• Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (FSPCA or equivalent)
• SQF Qualified Trainer; desired
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with additional hours, as needed.
