What you will do
Install cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures at customer sites per national electric code and company guidelines.
Utilize electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complex issues during installation.
Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals.
Configure IP addresses, subnet masks, and gateways on the customer's network.
Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment and conduct operational tests.
Establish virtual LANs for optimized traffic management.
Provide desktop support, including software/hardware installation, remote monitoring, and system maintenance.
Configure servers, workstations, and manage domain credentials and remote desktop settings.
Conduct system checks to ensure proper functionality.
Possess knowledge of computer programs, CCTV, and access control systems.
Plan, organize, and prioritize work with a keen attention to detail.
Communicate effectively and maintain collaborative working relationships.
Analyze information and work independently to complete installation tasks.
Submit all necessary paperwork related to job assignments.
Utilize hand and power tools to securely mount equipment.
Conduct end-user training.
Isolate troubleshooting to customer networks where applicable.
Install complex integrated security systems, including cabling, equipment, and programming for access control, CCTV, digital recorders, and intercom systems.
What we look for:
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work autonomously
Able to program alarm panels without assistance
Completion of an industry-recognized apprentice training program may substitute formal education.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Access Control Systems.
Understanding of alarm systems' functionality and design.
At least 2 years of experience with IP addressable security devices.
Proficient in advanced TCP/IP networking; computer literacy is essential.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Proficiency with ADT A.I. core card access and CCTV systems.
Preferred
Associate degree or completion of a 2-year technical school program.
Experience in Access Control Software and programming.
