Job Description
Vision Metering has been in business for 33 years and has an excellent reputation for selling high quality equipment used in the Electric, Water and Gas Utilities in the US and around the world. We are a flat organization without a lot of management layers, so micro management is at a minimum. We have many people that have been with us more than 20 years and currently employ 80+ people in the US and 30 in the Philippines. The selected candidate will be working on the Amazon Sidewalk firmware for our new product.

The Engineer we seek should have the following qualifications.
Title: Senior Embedded Design Engineer
Years Experience: 5+
Technical Knowledge Base:
MOST IMPORTANT IS NORDIC PROCESSOR EXPERIENCE
1. Real Time Operating Systems, preferrably freeRTOS.
2. C and C++ programming languages experience for high reliability applications.
3. Printed circuit board design experience preferrably with Cadence / Orcad.
4. Analog and digital circuit design experience.
5. Experience designing with the following serial protocols: SPI, RS485, RS232, USB.
6. Ability to automate testing of firmware using Python or similar scripting techniques.
7. Ability to apply calibration techniques for electronic circuit designs.
8. Ability to gather and document requirements for a new design.
9. Experience generating test plans and test procedures for requirements based testing.
10. Experience using office tools i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel etc...
11. Ability to start and complete a project with minimal direction.
