Business Area: PGTR Function: NAM HUB Engineering

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure on-time delivery of work and projects assigned with high-quality output.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and our transformer factories across the US and Canada for assigned projects.
• Visit factories based on project requirements.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Collect details of projects and make multiple design trials for standardization.
• Coach and train entry-level engineers/interns.

Your Background:

• BE/B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
• 4-7 years of experience in the transformer industry, preferably in distribution transformers up to 69kV class.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical design and manufacturing processes of 3-phase and single-phase oil-filled distribution transformers.
• Familiarity with IEEE/DOE standards.
• Knowledge of pad-mounted transformers, wound core transformers, design optimization techniques, and cost analysis.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Programming skills (SQL/Power BI) are a plus.
• AutoCAD and Cero knowledge are a plus.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
