Position Summary


Due to company growth, we have openings for Vermeer/Ditch Witch Drill Rig Operators. At least two years of drill experience is required. Prior experience operating construction equipment, including backhoes, front-end loaders, air compressors, trenchers, and hydraulic reel trailers is preferred. Class A CDL is a plus.



Job Responsibilities

• Place duct and fiber optic cable utilizing directional drilling and additional equipment, including excavators, backhoes, cable blowing and pulling equipment
• Complete drilling logs
• Maintain a clean work site to include all equipment
• Inspect vehicles and equipment prior to use, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure, to ensure their safe and proper operation
• Drive trucks and equipment to job sites
• Perform on call duties as required
• Occasional out of town work may be required
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Qualifications

• Ability operate a Vermeer/Ditch Witch Directional Drill
• Able to read and understand construction prints, maps and plans
• Ability to work with limited supervision, in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs occasionally
• Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
