Position: Dispatcher – Home Delivery
Location: Mississauga, ON
Wage: $20/hr+ (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time- no fixed shift, TM will get the schedule a week in advance as dedicated team is 7 days in operations from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our logistics team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for routing and tracking deliveries, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring that delivery timelines and service expectations are met. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer inbound calls from drivers and customer service teams
Track delivery progress, provide updates, and troubleshoot delays
Geocode orders and plan daily delivery routes efficiently
Assist drivers with routing, notes, and submitting deviation forms as needed
Monitor and record delivery status, ensuring PODs are submitted and delivery windows are met
Contact customers regarding delays or rescheduling needs
Log and maintain accurate records of calls, activities, and reports
Analyze service reports and compile issue summaries
Maintain clear and professional communication across teams
Support a clean, safe, and positive work environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred
1–2 years’ experience in dispatching or office environment
1–2 years’ customer service experience
Experience dispatching 10+ drivers in a home delivery setting preferred
Familiarity with dispatching software and WMS
Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
