Job Description

Aramark SeniorLIFE+ has an immediate opening for a Director of Nutrition & Wellness.  This is a remote role with 75% travel. 

The Director of Nutrition & Wellness is responsible for providing key leadership to the clinical team, fostering a strong business relationship and strategic approach with operations while focusing on clinical excellence, training and regulatory compliance.  They will ensure full implementation of Aramark’s standards, programs, procedures, and policies to include the provision of and/or management of clinical nutrition Resident care. They will be accountable for the success, effectiveness, on-time delivery, and business outcomes of the clinical nutrition program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Incorporate latest Wellness & Longevity industry trends into the line of business through a systematic approach, training, and development.
  • Lead team of Regional Nutrition Care Mangers in their assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Works closely with the operations with problem solving, client requests and overall business needs.
  • Focus on Long-term care regulations and CMS updates. Effectively communicates / implements regulatory requirements effectively to team and RDs.
  • Ensure full implementation of Aramark’s standards, procedures and policies to include the provision of and/or management of clinical nutrition patient care.
  • Work with identified operations team to manage a practical implementation checklist and handoff of activation in a simple, rigorous, and measurable manner. Ensure appropriate documentation is completed.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other facility departments to provide a unified approach to patient/resident care.
  • Enable delivery with speed and agility by clearly understanding all challenges and opportunities
  • Identify and perform trainings as needed.
  • Exhibit creativity to solve for presented challenges regarding program implementation. Provide troubleshooting.  
  • Enable identification, resolution, and potential escalation of issues and mid-course correction/revision of plans.
  • Validate the expected plan execution and outcomes as defined/desired by Client/Aramark. Identify and manage risks that may impede the plan success. Quickly manage up unexpected or unresolved concerns throughout.
  • Continually bring perspective based on input/feedback and identify ways to improve effectiveness/efficiency while simultaneously leveraging effective practices.  
  • Foster support and relationships by developing a strong level of trust and credibility with all stakeholders; act as an operator advocate throughout the process.
  • Utilize deliberate influence strategies to impact, shape, or re-direct the behaviors of others without formal authority.  
  • Translate and communicate information, implications, and recommendations using clear written and verbal skills appropriately with a diverse audience. Leverage subject matter expertise to proactively expedite actions.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; Certification/Licensure as required by state of practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in acute care clinical nutrition operations with more than one type of clinical nutrition delivery model experience. Multi-site responsibilities preferred. Has a working knowledge of MealTracker or like software, including Point Click Care.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of clinical nutrition programs, regulatory compliance and professional clinical nutrition practice standards.  
  • Develop and implement an individualized portfolio plan for professional growth and development including participation in professional organizations and activities, workshops, seminars, and staff development programs.
  • Must be willing to travel 75% of the time and performs other related duties as required.
