Job Description Director, NBA Operations reports to the Vice President, NBA Operations and will be responsible for managing NBA on NBC. Responsibilities Act as an effective communication conduit between Remote Operations Management, Production teams, and league contacts. Manage a team of Production Managers supporting NBA. Partner with arena/stadium/tournament personnel regarding mobile unit arrival and schedule. Oversee credentials, logistics such as compound set-up, security, catering, transportation, flight and hotel adjustments and report crew hours. Hire and partner with payroll to ensure correct and timely payment to the crew. Work closely with Production, Talent, and the show’s Technical Manager. Manage multiple budgets in coordination with the show’s Producer and Finance, ensuring all costs are accounted for and bills are paid. Oversee hotel block bookings. Oversee the shows’ crew schedule and provide support for Production and Talent needs; must work closely with the studio team. Travel onsite to remote NBA events. Qualifications Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 8+ years’ experience working on production or related projects. Proven knowledge of equipment and the equipment process as well as all procedures that are needed for various production projects. Ability to work effectively with persons at all levels within the internal organization and with those outside of the organization. Prior experience on high-level productions. Willingness to learn internal systems. Experience with unions. Desired Characteristics Prior experience working with the NBA and venues. Resourceful, organized, highly dependable, and efficient. Ability to adapt with last minute changes. Ability to multitask with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment (able to build strong relationships and facilitate collaboration across both internal and external departments/vendors). Time management and organizational skills. Strong problem solver, able to professionally handle high pressure and time sensitive situations; knowing when to escalate. Excellent professional oral and written communication skills. Flexibility with hours/weekends/holidays. Additional Requirements Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through to be considered.
