The Government Affairs Director reports to the Head of U.S. Government Affairs in Washington, D.C. and is located in Washington, D.C. The candidate will be responsible for representing Citi before the Congress and other federal government offices and will be primarily responsible for managing Senate Republican relationships. The position involves: identifying priority issues; creating an advocacy strategy around identified issues, implementing the strategy including engaging with external stakeholders such as trade associations and outside consultants. The preferred candidate will have experience working on financial services and/or foreign policy issues and with Republican offices with a focus on the Senate Banking Committee and Senate Republican Leadership. The candidate will be required to register as a lobbyist.
