The PROCEDEO Group is seeking a Design Manager for a K-12 client in DeSoto, Texas (South Dallas area). This new Design Manager will oversee the design of multiple ongoing projects within a new bond funding program, overseeing project programming, FCA QAQC, Prepare Design Schedule, Review Design deliverables, supervise staff and manage overall project Design. The role demands strong leadership, design, and project management skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance of our client's district educational specifications and technical design guidelines for all projects within the building program. You will work closely with design professionals to assist in understanding the bond program and related contracts and requirements. That will include preparing NTPs for architects on design projects, attending all architect/engineering team meetings, reviewing the designs from programming through construction documents, participating in contract negotiations, developing progress reports, assisting with FF&E coordination, and attending punch-list walks and observation walks as needed during construction.
