What You'll Get to Do: As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the security and resilience of our digital infrastructure. Your role will involve proactive measures to safeguard our networks, as well as responding to security breaches to maintain a secure environment. More About the Role: - In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, including Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
- Assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and proposing and implementing remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
- Responding to computer security breaches, re-establishing protections, and making required reports.
- Conducting security audits on IT infrastructure and managing appropriate scans and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) checklists.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce cybersecurity best practices.
- Staying updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.
You'll Bring These Qualifications: - Active Secret clearance
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent.
- Must have certification as Information Assurance Management (IAM), Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I
- Ten (10) years of experience in preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, including Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Experience in planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
- Experience in assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and proposing and implementing remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience in ensuring appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
- Experience in responding to computer security breaches and re-establishing protections.
- Three (3) years of experience conducting security audits on IT infrastructure and managing appropriate scans and STIG checklists.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: - AWS Security Certification Specialty.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$95,500-$210,100
