Company Description
Tower Fitness is a welcoming, community-centric gym in Norwalk, CT. It offers primarily CrossFit-style classes focusing on functional fitness, with modifications available for all levels. At Tower, we believe fitness should be welcoming, fitness should be empowering, and fitness should be fun. The gym is currently transitioning to new ownership and adding new class types & class times, therefore seeking additional coaches to join the team.
Role Description
This role is for a group fitness coach, preferably at least CrossFit Level 1 certified or equivalent. The coach will be responsible for leading Cross-Functional fitness classes, reviewing and following the provided fitness programming, providing instruction on proper techniques to a class of up to 12 people of various levels, ensuring participant safety, and offering scaling options and modifications for all participants in the classes. The instructor will also be responsible for maintaining a positive and motivating atmosphere in the gym, and may be required to open and close the gym as necessary.
This role would be contract for now, with the possibility of moving to a part-time salaried role in the future, depending on availability and classes taught.
