Credentialing Specialist Compensation
• The pay for this position is $18–$20 per hour, based on experience
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Credentialing Specialist Highlights
• Remote (TX.-based) – Shift is CST (8am–5pm CST)
• No phone work required
• Fast-paced, independent work environment
Credentialing Specialist Responsibilities
• Create and maintain credentialing files per NCQA standards
• Enroll both par and non-par providers/practitioners into the provider data management system
• Update provider status and claims payment information
• Perform credentialing and re-credentialing activities according to plan specifications
• Follow up with providers on missing credentialing information
• Review provisional credentialing files
• Assign credentialing inventory and manage file flow
• Open spreadsheets, assign work, and coordinate file loading
• Collaborate with managers and team leads (no phones)
Credentialing Specialist Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be highly detail-oriented and able to manage tasks independently
• Must have strong Excel and data entry skills
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Credentialing Specialist Preferences
• Critical thinking and strong written communication skills
• Prior experience in credentialing, provider data management, or healthcare administration
