Job Description

Our client, a leader in the agricultural industry, is seeking a Cost Accounting Specialist to join their team. As a Cost Accounting Specialist, you will be part of the Accounting Department supporting the financial operations of live turkey production. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cost Accounting Specialist

Location: Barron, WI

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

What's the Job?

• Reconcile weekly inventory data and resolve discrepancies.
• Balance key operational invoices across systems.
• Maintain fuel inventory and support monthly flock charge-outs.
• Process flock and feed transfers while monitoring inventory systems.
• Generate performance reports and assist with special projects.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or business preferred.
• 1-2 years of accounting, data entry, or administrative experience, preferably in agriculture or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
