Corporate Paralegal – Entertainment & Investment

About the Company

A leading global independent content studio and investment firm specializing in media, entertainment, and content-driven businesses is seeking a skilled Corporate Paralegal . This company operates across various sectors, producing premium entertainment content while also investing in high-growth businesses within the industry.

The Position

We are looking for a Corporate Paralegal to support the legal team across both content production and investment operations. This role will involve managing corporate records, tracking legal deadlines, ensuring compliance, and assisting with contract drafting and negotiation. The ideal candidate will have experience in entertainment, media, or content production, along with a strong corporate governance background.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects in a fast-paced, creative environment, collaborating with production teams, external legal counsel, and investment professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize corporate records, cap tables, and governance documents.
  • Support legal due diligence for transactions, ensuring timely collection of corporate records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, agreements, and closing documents.
  • Track key legal deadlines and coordinate with internal teams and external counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and union/guild requirements (e.g., SAG-AFTRA, WGA).
  • Organize production legal files and coordinate with external counsel on copyright, trademark, and intellectual property matters.
  • Assist with financing agreements, investor due diligence, and corporate governance filings.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 6+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal within a law firm, media company, entertainment studio, or investment firm.
  • Strong background in corporate governance, M&A, and investment transactions .
  • Experience with entertainment and content production is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with legal research, compliance regulations, and document management systems .
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certification a plus .

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
