Responsibilities

Old National Bank is seeking to fill the position of Corporate Banking Director. The Corporate Banking Director manages and coaches a team of Relationship Managers and/or Portfolio Bankers to meet sales goals, while adhering to credit quality and processing standards. In addition to leading the team, the Corporate Banking Director manages a portfolio and is responsible for achieving personal sales goals. The Corporate Banking Director leads and influences others by demonstrating Old National's values and leadership principles.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $199,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.

Key Accountabilities

Achieve Sales Targets

  • Communicates sales goals and expectations and manages performance of Relationship Managers and/or Portfolio Bankers.
  • Leads sales management efforts and activities including weekly sales meetings, business development calls, client relations and coaching of Relationship Managers and/or Portfolio Bankers.
  • Mentors, develops and coaches Relationship Managers and/or Portfolio Bankers to deepen lending segment knowledge and expertise.
  • Provides direction to Relationship Managers and/or Portfolio Bankers regarding proactive sales activities that lead to results.
  • Partners with Treasury Management and Merchant Services, Wealth, Community Banking and others to offer solutions that deepen client relationships.

Portfolio Management Team and Individual

  • Ensures loan requests meet the requisite level as set forth under current loan standards by evaluating loan requests for proper purpose, structure and pricing.
  • Manages delinquencies and portfolio to ensure that classified credits are recognized timely and referred promptly to Special Assets.
  • Manages a portfolio of clients satisfactorily, ensuring the relationships are maintained in a professional manner and monitoring of the portfolio meets ONB loan standards.

Team Leadership

  • Performs various management responsibilities including staffing, performance management, coaching and recruitment/hiring.
  • Ensures Relationship Managers and/or Portfolio Bankers receive adequate training so they are fully able to make informed credit risk decisions.
  • Demonstrates partnership with internal client services and credit teams to create an outstanding client experience.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Management and/or H.S. Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience. Master's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant commercial banking experience with a super community or regional bank strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience, including prior management of Relationship Managers and/or Portfolio Bankers.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and sales skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of current loan standards, loan review administration and banking/OCC procedures.

  • Achieve team and personal goals for new fee production and average loan delinquency.
