Controlling Analyst
Wahpeton, ND (onsite)
6+Month Contract

This position involves preparing monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and assisting in the monthly close process. The role also focuses on analyzing cost structures, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting management with critical financial information for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Support monthly close process
• Analyze inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and variances
• Maintain perpetual inventory and monitor cycle counts
• Manage and maintain the standard cost system
• Prepare cost quoting for new product sales
• Review and resolve reporting inaccuracies
• Analyze cost accounting structure for management decisions
• Prepare monthly scorecard data and ratios for management
• Establish and maintain internal controls
• Assist with budgeting and projection process
• Ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements and deadlines
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., operations) for accurate reporting
• Assist Controller with system/reporting improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or finance
• Technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis, and month-end close
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
