Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Bilingual Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of risk management, occupational health, and construction management practices. The Safety Officer will work closely with various departments to implement effective safety programs and ensure adherence to OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to communicate in spanish and english
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) standards.
• Provide training and support to employees on safety practices, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor the implementation of safety programs across all construction sites and ensure adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Collaborate with management to investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance management documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in OSHA regulations and industry best practices related to workers' compensation and occupational health.
• Assist in the selection and implementation of construction management software that supports safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of risk management principles, OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and compliance management practices.
• Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and occupational health guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective safety solutions.
• Certification in safety management or related field is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
