Salary: $15.75

Job Summary: Primary responsibility will be to provide troubleshooting, debugging and testing of motherboards down to the component level. Must be well-versed in the use of various pieces of board testing equipment. Qualified applicant must have the ability to read schematics and analyze circuits. Requires a high and consistent throughput on repairs. Must successfully pass written and hands-on tests.

Responsibilities:

• Disassembly and reassembly of computers and peripherals.
• Successfully troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
• Ability to identify, document and report quality issues.
• Good motor skills and the ability to use hand tools and other small equipment to successfully perform the repairs.
• Requires a high and consistent throughput on repairs.
• Attention to detail is necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Abilities :

• 3 to 5 years component level troubleshooting with advanced technical knowledge or equivalent education and experience preferred.
• Proficient in all Windows OS and Android based OS.
• Level 1 board repair (solder) certification preferred.
• Well-versed in board level troubleshooting equipment (analog and digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.).
• IPC-A-610 preferred.
• Awareness of ESD precautionary measures.
• Schematic reading is required.
• Electronic circuit analysis is required.
• Previous repair experience is necessary.
• Previous experience with PWB is highly recommended.
• Ability to maintain a 96% (rolling 13-week) attendance average.
• Ability to work under close supervision and follow directions.
• Effective math, reading and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Safely manage weights up to 45 lbs. using proper lifting technique.
• Sit for long periods of time.
• Flexible hours with the possibility of overtime/weekends.

Required Experience:

• Soldering: 1 year (Required)
• Computer Repair: 3 years (Required)
• Hardware troubleshooting: 3 years (Required)

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift, see, hear, and climb stairs within the facility. The employee is frequently required to use hands while using repair tools, for keyboarding and for telephone operation. Fine motor skills are necessary to perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift or move 45 pounds. Ability to communicate with peers and supervisors via telephone and in person. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in ambient room temperatures with lighting and traditional warehousing equipment as found in typical, climate-controlled warehouse and office environments. Warehousing equipment such as person lifts and forklifts may be present. Watching and listening for traffic is required.

Safety Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to safely use and operate hand tools including; soldering tools, plyers, vacuums/blowers, and screwdrivers. Maintaining equipment could include the use of chemicals including cleaning and greasing / de-greasing agents. Due to the use of tools, the presence of heavy equipment, and use of chemicals / cleaning agents, this position is considered safety sensitive

Schedule :
