Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a CDL Driver and Shop Coordinator. This role involves a combination of shop tasks (50%) and driving responsibilities (50%), managing pickups and deliveries using pickup trucks and tractor trailers. In between periods where driving is not required, you will be required to assist with shop tasks, so your time will be split between both roles.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform shop duties, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and general organization.
• Handle pickups and deliveries efficiently, ensuring the timely transportation of goods
• Operate pickup trucks and tractor trailers safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline logistics and shop operations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and shop activities.
• Showcase dedication and reliability through exceptional attendance and punctuality
• Thoroughly conduct Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections to guarantee the safety of your equipment
• Efficiently manage and maintain logs per the regulations set by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) when necessary
  
• Establish friendly and professional communication with customers, ensuring a positive experience from initial contact through delivery and beyond
• Demonstrate precision and efficiency in delivering materials, prioritizing getting the job done right the first time
  

Experience and Skills Required

• Must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid Commercial Class A (CDL) driver's license. If not already in possession of a current Medical Certificate, willingness to obtain one is required
  
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience with flatbed hauling
• A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is essential.
  
• Experience working as part of a team as you will help on-site
• Experience working in the roofing or construction industry
• Effective and positive communication with customers is key. Interact with them in a fun, fast, and professional manner to ensure a positive experience and leave a lasting impression
